Accessories and materials used in wiring harnesses

The wiring harnesses are handmade from start to finish using good materials.

Supplies and materials used:

Connectors:

The main connectors are Deutsch DT waterproof quick connectors, which are a popular and known to be the highest quality choice. The Deutsch connectors we use are not genuine, and not manufactured by TE Connectivity. The connectors used have been proven to be functional and of high quality through the experience of several dozen made wiring harnesses, and there is no need to doubt their operation. As a cheaper alternative, flat connectors are also available for the set.

Voltage regulators, etc. come with uninsulated flat connectors (Würth). Note: Uninsulated only refers to the connector model, an insulating protective sleeve is placed over the flat connector.

Protections:

The protection is provided by a fabric-like wiring harness covering tape, which protects against abrasion and dirt, is flexible and gives a neat finish/appearance to the wiring harness.

Conductor:

The cable is FLRY 1.5mm² vehicle cable.

Operating temperature -40-85 °C

Shrinkages:

The heat shrink sleeve is an adhesive heat shrink sleeve. This means that when the heat shrink sleeve is heated, the adhesive inside the heat shrink sleeve melts around the joint and creates a waterproof protection. We also use a lot of heat shrink extension connectors which create a waterproof and very durable joint/branch.
